Horrible service tonight from a very passive aggressive waitress who was very inattentive to our minimal requests. My wife asked for extra jalapenos for her drink and never got them. We were left on the front porch waiting for over 30 minutes for our food which then came out at the wrong time. Then asked me if I was finished after telling her I was not she took my plate and said Ill get you a box. I ended up leaving without my food due to an excessive wait. The food was decent as far as fine dining goes the price didnt match the entree. I have been here for lunch and it was the absolute opposite with great service and food.
We are local residents that have been to Front Porch on several occasions but have yet to receive quality service or food for the price that we've paid. I'd LOVE to be able to say that this is a fabulous place.
I hate to write these. But I have eaten at the front porch before and had an ok experience. It took 25 min to get a high chair. I thought tonight I would try and give it another shot. I walked in the waitress pointed at me and rudely said "you have a reservation?" Then another walked by and said hold on I'll check if we have room for them. I stood there for another five minutes, witnessed a server talking terribly about a customer in plain view. I continued to stand there in good faith. The server returned and looked around with about 5 open tables and said eh it will be 45 minutes for you. I understand those tables were probably reserved but I would have appreciated being treated as a potential customer instead of as an unwanted guest.
We only have two other dining choices in town and it would have been nice to say that we have a third, but after tonight, I'm going to say that we still only have TWO choices in town for dining. I have read some of the other reviews about the wait staff being rude and frankly felt as though they might have been exaggerating a bit. I'm here to tell you that THEY ARE NOT! Our waiter, John F was so ridiculously rude that I feel compelled to write this review and to inform the viewing public that the previous reviews about how appallingly rude the servers are is sad and TRUE. Tonight we witnessed our server make a comment to another server right in front of us about our PRIVATE conversation and the other server rolled her eyes and agreed with him loudly enough for us to hear. Our topic was religious in nature and, though it's not my place to judge them for their bad behavior, I do feel as though I'm well within my right to share our experience and let everyone else judge for themselves as to whether or not they want to dine at Front Porch.
Great food and service. If you go upstairs beware of the wobbly table! Make sure you ask for any table but the wobbly one when you go!!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and fabulous food. As new locals, we are delighted to find this little gem so close to home.
